Dorothy Street

Dorothy sews classic quality clothes for babies and toddlers including dresses and jumpers for girls and shortalls and longalls for boys. Her outfits are often appliqued with animals, fish and other themes appealing to children. She likes to make dresses for girls with matching outfits for their dolls.

Among other things, she sews hooded towels with fun appliques for children. Dorothy develops her own patterns for the animals and other motifs that she appliques onto the towels.

Dorothy began sewing in 8th grade and was soon making her own dresses her own way. She had an avid interest in sewing and developed the skills to modify dress patterns and add embellishments and fine tailoring to make unique outfits. Later, she sewed clothes for her daughters and grandchildren.

After she retired as an analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense, she decided to start a sewing business. Dorothy sews many different types of clothes and other items for children, always with a high quality and finish.
