Debbie sews and appliques many kinds of accessories and items for babies and toddlers. She handcrafts colorful and fun barrettes, bibs, aprons, teething rings, appliqued hoodies, appliqued towels, appliqued fleece blankets, appliqued fleece fingerlings with ribbons and more. Some of her items can be personalized with a child’s name.
Debbie’s mother was a talented seamstress and taught her how to sew when she was young. She started with hand sewing and moved on to using a sewing machine after she took a home economics class on sewing in school. Her first projects included doll clothes and stuffed animals. As an adult, she sewed for herself and sold her work at craft fairs. She has been selling her work at many shops which are members of the Federation of Woman’s Exchanges, since the mid 1980’s.
She loves handcrafting baby and toddler items and is always looking for new designs and inspiration. Her work is always changing during the year - she varies her designs, fabrics and colors with the season.
