The Dedham Exchange Awards College Scholarships to Adam Lagare and Megan Kane

The Dedham Exchange is pleased to announce its 2025 Scholarship award winners are Adam Lagare and Megan Kane. Both students are 2025 graduates of Dedham High School. This fall, Adam will be attending the University of Massachusetts at  Amherst, and Megan will be attending the University of Vermont.. They have both excelled academically  and have greatly  contributed to their school and the Dedham community.

 

A non-profit gift shop since 1914, the Dedham Exchange’s mission is to support artisans as well as educational and philanthropic organizations in the community. Today the Dedham Exchange represents about 200 artisans who hand-craft everything from ceramics, glassware, woven textiles, and woodwork, to hand sewn and hand knitted baby items and much more. Both Adam and Megan have shown a passion for the creative arts and community service. Adam  has been a member of the DHS Orchestra, as well as taking numerous art courses, including at the Advanced Placement level.  Adam is also a cofounder of the  Youth Assists Student Association which connects middle school students to high school student tutors. Megan has been a member of the Art Club, a volunteer for the Dedham Youth Commission and  a camp counselor at Dedham Health and Athletic Club’s summer program.  Megan has also followed her interest in ceramics with advanced course work at Dedham High and additional arts training at the Newton Arts Center summer program.

 

The Dedham Exchange is proud to grant college scholarships to Dedham High School students who have achieved academic success, demonstrated commitment to school and community service, and an interest in the creative arts.  The Exchange is pleased to continue this tradition by honoring 2025 Dedham High School graduates Adam Lagare and Megan Kane.
